Accessibility statement
Many of our readers are disabled or older, or help someone who is. We want everyone to be able to use this site comfortably.
Last reviewed: September 2026.
Our aim
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and to go further where we can.
What we’ve done
- Readable text: a large default text size and Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed by the Braille Institute for readers with low vision.
- Larger text button: use “Larger text” at the top of every page, or zoom your browser up to 400% – the layout reflows without sideways scrolling.
- Strong contrast in both light and dark modes. The site follows your device’s dark mode setting.
- Keyboard access: everything works with a keyboard, with a clear, thick focus outline and a “Skip to main content” link.
- Screen readers: proper headings, landmarks, labelled forms, table headers and descriptions for meaningful illustrations.
- Large targets: buttons and links are easy to tap, even with limited hand control.
- No movement: nothing animates, flashes or moves on its own, and there are no time limits or pop-ups.
- Works without JavaScript: the selector, compare tool and filters all work as ordinary forms.
- Plain English throughout, with jargon explained.
Known limitations
- Comparison tables with three models can be wide on small screens. The table scrolls sideways within its own box, and the row labels stay in view.
- Pages on other websites that we link to have their own accessibility standards.
